Trust Sale — Historic Strickland Residence

May 25 – 26, 2026 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily 270 Ridge Street, Tuscaloosa, AL 10890

About this estate sale

After fifty-plus years in the same residence, the family has engaged our firm to conduct a complete contents sale. Highlights include a matched parlor set, an early-19th-century Pennsylvania cupboard, a wall of original oil paintings, and the contents of a fully outfitted basement workshop. Costume and fine jewelry will be displayed in a locked case; sterling, coins, and precious metals are sold by the gram with current spot pricing posted hourly.

This sale is conducted by Cobblestone Estate Services, a licensed estate liquidator. For a deeper background on how a typical estate-sale weekend is staffed, priced, and discounted, the broader trade press and independent buyer guides are the best reference.

What to expect on sale day

Numbered entry tickets will be distributed at the front door beginning 30 minutes before the published opening time on the first day. Entry will proceed in numerical order; the firm asks that buyers respect the queue and refrain from negotiating prices on day one. Cash and in-state checks (with two forms of identification) are accepted; major credit cards are accepted on purchases of $25 or more. Independent buyer guides and reference works are useful pre-sale reading for any first-time visitor.

Discounts compound across the sale weekend per the liquidator’s standard schedule: full price day one, 25 percent off day two, and half-price (or open offers) on day three for any remaining material. Larger items must be paid for at the time of purchase but may be picked up by end of business on the final sale day; the liquidator can usually recommend local movers familiar with estate-sale logistics.

How to find the property

The full street address is published above. Parking is on-street; please be respectful of neighbors and avoid blocking driveways. Please do not arrive before the scheduled distribution of numbered tickets.
